Chanceaux sur Choisille
Irrigated by the Choisille, which flows through it, Chanceaux-sur-Choisille is situated on the northern plateau of our region, an area devoted to agriculture. As you explore our local heritage, linger a while at the Saint-Martin Church and the 12th-century remains of the Chanceaux priory. A few kilometres further along the road, stop off and admire the picturesque hamlet of Langennerie, so well described by Ronsard during one of his many wanderings, “From thence we came to sleep at the ford of Lengenerie, Beneath the willow trees planted along a meadow...”. Share a true gourmet experience at the Moulin de la Planche and breathe in the pure Touraine air as you enjoy a quiet stroll between woods and water. The property of Eve Lavallière and then of Charles Spiessert of the Pinder Circus, Château de Choisille has its place in the town’s history. Cast an admiring eye, too, over Château de la Chute and the Mortier Manor, both private estates.
