Boats on the Loire River

One of UNESCO's World Heritage sites, the Val de Loire is the largest site in France to be included on the UNESCO list, stretching out 170 miles between Sully-sur-Loire in the Loiret department and Chalonnes-sur-Loire in the Anjou.
What about a trip on the Loire river. You will discover the cultural landscape of the Loire aboard the "Saint Martin de Tours" or under your own speed – in a canoe, for example.
There are plenty of fine walks along the river’s embankments, which have protected local residents from
flooding since the 12th century. Explore the banks, with their wide variety of animals and wild flowers, discover the richness of this river.
These activities are proposed to you in the column " Activities & Recreation ". You can also discover the "Loire Valley" by hot-air balloon flights and different activities in our Region..
